This list includes shipmates who died later from wounds during battle. We have marked with *** those shipmates who were wounded aboard and later officially declared Killed in Action. It also includes all the other shipmates we know about who have gone to another shore. Several were killed in a gun explosion in 1931 and are marked with ** as is John A. Carlson killed by electric shock in 1945 aboard ship. Our Killed or Missing in action according to ship records are listed separately.
